宇部の総合福祉会館だったっけ

五十嵐匠監督の講演会とともに

『地雷を踏んだらサヨウナラ』という映画

が上映された。

１９７３年クメール・ルージュによって殺された

一ノ瀬泰造という戦場カメラマンの物語。

浅野忠信が一ノ瀬を演じる。

一ノ瀬は１９７３年の１１月終わり頃亡くなったらしいが

浅野は１９７３年１１月２７日生まれで

この役の打診があったとき

どうしても自分が演じたいと運命を感じたという。

オレ自身の考えでは

戦場を撮るカメラマンを美化したり

必要以上に賞賛したくない。戦場を撮りたくて

もしくは戦場を撮って名をあげたくて

それなりの仕事をやり遂げたのだから

たとえ殺されても幸せだったと考える。

一ノ瀬はアンコールワットに惚れて

その神聖なるパワースポットを撮ることに執心した。

そういう人生は幸せだったはずである。

カネやメイヨがあってだらだら生きるのもいい

一ノ瀬のように生を燃焼させる渇望感をいだいて

跳ぶのもいい。なにがいいか本人にしかわからない。
