コンクリ

コンクリートは砂、砂利、セメントを練り

鉄を骨にして固めた素材である。

セメントも主成分は石灰石なので

自然といえば自然的な材質である。

うちの地上げのためにコンクリートで

囲いを作っている最中に

隈研吾さんの『自然な建築』という本

を最近読んでいる。

確かにコンクリートはおそろしく便利な代物である。

都会を歩くと全てがコンクリに覆われている

んじゃないかと見まがうほどあらゆる面が

コンクリ仕様なのだ。金額的に言っても

最近の買った生コン１㎥が１６０００円くらいとして

この街全体で使った生コンの額は、と

ちょっと想像してもなかなかのケタになりそうだ。

その金額に見合うだけの仕事をコンクリはしているのだろう。

ただオレの価値観では

コンクリは自然とは言い難いインスタントな人工素材かな。

今後も深めていきたいテーマである。
